Some of our classes are having difficulty locating a hayrack, finding a location to build the float and securing someone to drive the float for our Homecoming Parade. If you are willing to help in any of these capacities, please contact the high school. Thank you

Most kids will encounter mean behavior at some point in their digital lives. For some kids, this experience is a blip that's easily forgotten, while for others it can have deep, long-lasting effects. For parents, the key is staying involved in kids' lives -- both online and off -- so they can step in and offer help if necessary. With guidance from parents and educators, kids can learn how to dodge the drama and stand up for others. Throughout October we will be sharing 6 different tips for families to encourage best behavior when approaching the topics of Cyberbullying, Digital Drama, and Hate Speech with your families. 1) Define your terms 2) Check in about online life 3) Role-play 4) Encourage upstanding 5) Take breaks 6) Review worst-case steps

The OHS XC teams raced yesterday at the notoriously challenging course at the 16-team El Paso-Gridley Invitational. The girls’ team brought home the third place trophy, with Amelia Kistner (7th), Anna Bieber (18th), and Emma Swartzendruber (20th) finishing in the medals, while Cam Lawson and Kaylie Dare rounded out the top-5 for the team. The boys finished 7th, with Logan Demling (17th) finishing in the medals and Cooper Phillips, Caden Clark, CJ Moore, and Evan Petri filling in the top-5 for the team. At this meet, the coaches choose one girl and one boy for the Gourd Award. This award goes to the athlete that they feel had the best personal race of the day. This year’s Gourd Award recipients were foreign exchange student Irati Zaldua and freshman Paul Yeary.
