Fifth graders participated in the annual Valentine’s Box Contest, creating their projects outside of the school day with optional help from their families. This year’s boxes were truly outstanding! Winners are selected through votes from both the student body and our faculty and staff. These creative displays are always a bright spot this time of year and a cheerful reminder that spring is just around the corner.

The Spartan Spotlight is Back!

In January, our focus was on Empathy. Empathy is a vital skill for elementary students, as it fosters positive relationships, reduces bullying, and strengthens academic engagement by creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom community. Developing empathy helps children understand diverse perspectives, manage their emotions, resolve conflicts effectively, and build resilience.

We are proud of the students pictured below for being outstanding leaders in empathy. Congratulations, Spartans! 💙

Our fifth grade students proudly graduated from the D.A.R.E. program on January 20! The program was led by Officer Wesloh of the Minier Police Department, who did an outstanding job teaching our students valuable decision-making skills to help them lead safe and healthy lives—specifically by avoiding drugs, alcohol, and violence.

Thank you, Officer Wesloh, for your time, dedication, and commitment to our students. Congratulations to our fifth graders on this important accomplishment! May you always remember and apply these lifelong lessons.

Students in Mrs. Loyer's 2nd grade class have been talking about goals and intentions as we head into 2026 and second semester. Students spent time last week thinking about one word that would describe a goal they have for the year. Students wrote about how they would show that word in all they do and together we made friendship bracelets to always remind us of our 2026 intentions!

Fourth- and fifth-grade students at Olympia North gave back this holiday season by hosting a food drive instead of exchanging gifts. Students collected non-perishable canned and boxed food items that were evenly distributed between Helping Hands in Stanford and Project Evergreen in Danvers.

This week, ONE Kindergarteners visited their 5th Grade Book Buddies for some Thanksgiving FUN! They colored Thanksgiving coloring sheets together & got to hang out with their buddies.
The Kindergarten & 5th grade classes meet once a week for Book Buddies. Sometimes the 5th graders read a few books to their buddy, sometimes they do fun activities, like this week!
