The Olympia Boys golf team hosted the Spartan Scramble on Tuesday with 9 teams competing: Delavan, Cornerstone, Eureka, Heyworth, Illini Central, Roanoke Benson, Prairie Central, and Lexington. The team of Davis Rogers, Cooper Kleinschmidt, Camden Fosdick and Ethan Barnes shot -7 in 18 holes. Good shooting boys! The Prairie Central Hawks tied their school record and as far as our records can tell broke the Spartan Scramble record with a score of -17. Congrats to the Hawks.

The Olympia Spartans Boys competed yesterday afternoon at The Rail in a quadrangular against Williamsville, North Mac, and Mt. Pulaski. The team shot a score of 187 placing 3rd. The team consisted of: Davis Rogers who shot a 40, Camden Fosdick 47, Dylan Nowaskie 49, Ethan Barnes 51, Cooper Kleinschmidt 51, and Noah Walker 52.
Friday August 23rd is Fall Spartan Night for high school activities. Come out and meet our Spartans. Teams will be introduced at 5:30pm at the football field with parent meetings and scrimmages/open practices to follow.

MS baseball varsity fell to Pleasant Plains Saturday 11-3, JV were defeated 12-1. Both varsity and JV are at home Monday vs defending 3A champion Glenwood at 4:30. Varsity will play at the high school, JV will play in Minier.
The Olympia Boys Golf team opened up their season at Home Thursday with a triangular against Eureka and Tri-Valley. The Varsity Squad consisted of Davis Rogers, Ethan Barnes, Noah Walker, Camden Fosdick, Dylan Nowaskie, and Cooper Kleinschmidt. The two seniors led the way for the Spartans as Davis Rogers shot an 85 and Cooper Kleinschmidt shot a 90 and the team had a score of 366. Go Spartans!
The Spartans are off to a hot start this season catching their 6th win today vs Monticello. Which brings their record to 6-0 for both the Varsity and Junior Varsity Spartans. Varsity has outscored their opponents 86 to 8. While Junior Varsity is outscoring their opponents 77 to 15. Come out to support your OMS Lady Spartans Softball team this Monday, August 19th at 4:30 against the Parkside Pythons.
The OHS Girl's Golf team opened up their season yesterday at the Williamsville Bullet invite. The Spartans were led be senior Madi Barnes who shot a team low 92. The Lady Spartans will be back in action Monday at the Lincoln Elks.
MS baseball varsity drops a 10-4 game at Maroa Forsyth tonight. JV also falls 5-1. Both teams will be in action for their home opener tomorrow morning vs defending 2A state champion Pleasant Plains. First game starting at 10:00am.

8th grade drops their season opener 4-2 at Epiphany Wednesday night. 7th grade fall in their game 3-2. Oly will be at Maroa Forsyth Friday night (moved from Thursday) at 4:30.
The middle school baseball game scheduled for today Aug. 15th. vs. Maroa-Forysth at Forsyth Park has been postponed to tomorrow.
There will be NO parent meeting tonight for Girl's Golf. Rescheduled date TBD.
