Varsity girls basketball had a great come back win against Auburn tonight 42-40. It was a good team win!
JV falls 25-31. Both are back in action Thursday at Maroa-Forsyth.
OMS Volleyball was on the road tonight at Midwest Central. The 7th grade team fell in 2 sets, while the 8th grade battled hard and pushed the match to 3 sets before coming up short. Proud of the effort & growth shown by both teams.

Today's Activities

Yesterday we hosted the OMS wrestling tournament, with 24 teams attending. I want to give a big thank you to all the parents and family members that volunteered. We had our best ran tournament in years, and we couldn't do it without everyone helping out.
The OMS wrestling team placed 4th at the tournament and had ten placers. I'm really proud of the kids, the hard work they've been putting in is definitely showing.

The OMS wrestling team travelled to Williamsville today to wrestle Bloomington and Williamsville. We lost to a strong Bloomington lineup, but had some good takeaways to learn from. Before we could wrestle Williamsville, a transformer blew and the power went out. We didn't get to wrestle them, but we'll see them this weekend. Looking forward to our big tournament this weekend!

The Spartans (3-11) drop a non-conference home game to Midwest Central 86-85 in overtime on a buzzer-beating shot. Dylan Nowaskie led the Spartans with 42 points. The Spartans are back in action Thursday night on the road at St. Thomas More. Jv tips at 5:30 with varsity to follow

Olympia MS Volleyball kicked off the season tonight on the road at Williamsville. Both our 7th and 8th grade teams came up short, but played hard and competed well against a tough Williamsville volleyball program. Proud of the effort and excited to keep building this season!

The OMS Boys Basketball Team traveled to Mackinaw tonight to take on DeeMack.
The 7th grade team won a thrilling game on a last second shot from Kyler Lessen to win 35-32. Isaiah Gaither (12 points) and Luke Milligan (8 points) led the team in scoring.
The 8th grade team cruised to victory 53-17 with Cade Yoder (19 points) and Easton Boudeman (14 points) leading their team in scoring.
The Spartans are back in action Thursday at home in the OHS gym against Tremont. Go Spartans!

Attention all girls interested in playing soccer this spring! There will be a short informational meeting this coming Friday January 9th at 3:30 pm in Coach Brents room. This will just be touching base on Pre Season open gyms coming up to prepare for the season. The OMS wrestling team placed 7th out of 27 teams at the Tyler Johnson Memorial Tournament in Bloomington. A lot of tough competition comes to this tournament and we were proud to have four champs and a couple of placers.

Boys basketball starts the new year the right way with a 63-56 win over Gibson City. Leading scorers were Luke Prestegaard with 22 points, Dylan Nowaskie with 17 points, and Brendon Hardimon with 10 points. We are back in action Tuesday night at home against Midwest Central.

The high school basketball team had a successful secret Santa practice! Merry Christmas!
