On Monday December 2nd the Olympia Board of Education will hold a Truth in Taxation Hearing at 6:00 p.m. in the Olympia South Elementary Gymnasium. Olympia South Elementary is located at 103 NE 5th Street, Atlanta. This meeting is required because the tax extension request on the 2024 Levy is 5% greater than the tax extension request from the 2023 Levy. The tax rate is expected to remain at $5.50, which is what it was on the 2023 Levy. The regularly scheduled December Board Meeting will begin immediately after the hearing concludes.
