Our 4th and 5th grade students got creative this week as they learned all about mosaic artworks! Using just paper, they designed and crafted their own colorful mosaics and the results are amazing. We're so proud of their hard work and imagination!

Elementary students attending an OHS event need to be accompanied by an adult. If an elementary student shows up without an adult, they will not be allowed to enter into the game / event. We are asking elementary students to sit in the stands during the games due to the safety concerns that have already surfaced during our first home game. Thank you to our parents for understanding we are striving to create a safe experience for all our spectators. Go Spartans!

Kindergarten learned that everyone can be an author! Sam, the library mouse, left us mouse-sized books and pencils to create stories. The library mouse loved all the books the kindergarteners wrote!

These 3rd grade students chose to eat lunch with Mrs. Castleman as a PBIS reward for having their tickets pulled. Mrs. Castleman tried hard to convert them to Packers fans during their lunch time together, but the boys stood strong with their NFL loyalties. Keep up the great work earning those green tickets, Spartans!

Tomorrow marks Mrs. Lessen's LAST EVER last day of school. Oly West sent her out in style during a Walk of Champions. After serving the Olympia district for 28 years it will be hard to imagine the front office without her. Mrs. Lessen has supported countless students, parents, and staff members over the years. Please join us in thanking her for nearly three decades of service and wishing her all the happiness in a well-deserved retirement!

Digital Trail
Today, our 5th graders spent a special final day with their Kindergarten buddies. Together, they created beautiful flower art, built sandcastles with shapes, and shared stories from their book boxes. It’s been a joyful and meaningful experience, and we’re truly going to miss our little buddies.

Video: bit.ly/Oly2DFV3 Lots of students are exploring and developing their own identities, and they often do this online and on social media. Some kids use multiple accounts, each for a different audience, but with this, what’s real and what’s unrealistic can often get blurred. In this video, your kids can hear other teens talk about the ins and outs of presenting themselves to others online, and consider what it means to “be yourself” in digital spaces.

Teen Voices
As tweens and teens start sharing content and engaging with others online, it's vital for them to understand what they're leaving behind and what they might reveal. Help guide kids toward creating the kind of footprint they can be proud of @ http://bit.ly/Oly2DF
