Second grade has been learning to count money in Word Problems. Today we tread Alexander Who Use to be Rich Last Sunday. We kept track of the change that he lost and totaled it all up at the end!

Due to cold temperatures all Olympia schools will start one hour later than normal Friday, Jan. 25.
Due to the possibility of icy roadways, Olympia schools will dismiss early Wed., Jan. 23. OHS and OMS dismiss at noon; elementary schools dismiss at 12:30. All programs and activities are cancelled the rest of the day.

The mini cheer clinic that was scheduled for Saturday Jan. 12th has been postponed to Sunday Jan. 13th from 12 pm to 3 pm in the high school.
Members of the Atlanta Masonic Lodge came to Olympia South today to share a generous donation to support our students’ needs. Their generosity is greatly appreciated!

Second grade classes celebrated the season with holiday mystery bags. There were nutcracker tongues (orange slices), reindeer noses (milk dud candies), Santa's beard (cotton candy), and Grinch snot (green jello) ewwwww! Even Mrs. Rogers joined in on the fun!
