Olympia Transportation Looking for Substitute Bus Drivers and Aides

The Olympia Transportation Department is currently looking for people that are interested in serving as substitute bus drivers and substitute bus aides.  The Olympia School District offers paid training for people that are learning to become bus drivers.  The starting wage is $17 per hour.  All people have to do to get started to become a bus driver is pass their CDL test. All of the over the road training is conducted with the Olympia Safety Officers using Olympia buses and your final testing is with one of the Olympia Safety Officers.

The Transportation Department is also looking for individuals that would like to serve as substitute bus aides.  Starting pay for substitute bus aides is $12.50 per hour.  If you have questions about what this entails, please contact Joe Gaither.  You will have to follow the same applications steps listed above and select the Substitute Bus Aide category in order to be considered for the position.
