Welcome to Olympia North
to Olympia North Elementary School, where learning is the purpose.
Located in Danvers, Illinois, Olympia North is one of three elementary
schools in the Olympia School District and serves students from the
communities of Danvers and Stanford. Olympia is a large, rural
consolidated school district in central Illinois. Students in
pre-kindergarten through the fifth grade attend school at Olympia North.
Our students go to Olympia Middle School when they enter the sixth
grade. High school students from the Danvers and Stanford attendance
areas go to Olympia High School. The middle school and high school are
located outside Stanford.

personal success. Students at Olympia North are given the widest range
of learning experiences that we can possibly provide and we continuously
strive to improve student learning. We strive for students to make
meaning from and demonstrate an ownership of their learning. Students
problem solve, question, investigate and make decisions using various
learning strategies to deepen their understanding.

well as physical education and general music. We use an array of
technology to enhance and transform the classroom for our 21st century
learners. The current School Improvement Plan at Olympia North
Elementary School focuses on improving reading across the grade levels.
This is an endeavor that the teachers have been working on tirelessly
for the past several years.
North currently has an enrollment of approximately 275 students. We
value our tremendous parent and community support. A great way to
contribute is through our parent-teacher organization. PTO offers
opportunities for all parents to become involved in their child’s
education through various committees and projects.

collaboration. The teachers at Olympia North are committed to
continuous student improvement and are motivated to ensure that each
student experiences fulfillment in learning. Multiple professional
development opportunities are offered throughout the year, with improved
