Army Recruiters and Olympia North Student Body

Olympia North Elementary recognized Veterans Day with a variety of learning opportunities. Students were encouraged to invite a Veteran they know or recognize a Veteran on our wall of honor at school. Sergeant First Class Bryon Ackerman from the Bloomington/Normal Army Recruiter's Office described experiences in the Army with the student body.  Students with a Veteran in attendance recognized who came and what branch of the military they served. Students also presented their Veteran with a photo and art project they created.

In preparation for the Veterans visiting, all grade levels created a display to decorate the school.
